Great Photos

This photo is cool because it has depth and it gives it a really neat look.

                          I like this photo because it looks really cool how the background is blurred out and you can just really see what the main subject of the photo is.

                      This photo is unique because it was captured in the moment.

Photography Compostion Rules

1.  Rule of thirds- Imagine your photo is cut into 9 squares, position your most important elements along the lines, or where they intersect. This adds balance and interest to the photo.

                                 
                                  

2. Balance- if you place your main subject off center it adds more interest but also make sure to add another subject that's not as important to fill in the space.

3. Lines- Lines are used to enhance the photo. Lines can pull you in the picture and towards the subject. There are different types of lines you can you use in your photo such as straight, diagonal, curvy, zigzag, and radical.

4. Symmetry and patterns- Symmetry is seen everywhere both man made and natural. Symmetry is good for catching the eye especially when not expected. Another great way to use it is to break the symmetry in some way.

5. Point of View-Point of view suggests taking the photo from a different angle, it doesn't always have to be from eye view. Doing so it can make the picture look much more interesting and different.

6. Background/Foreground- To not have the background distract the viewer from the subject try to find a plain and unobtrusive background.

7. Depth- You can create depth by including objects in the foreground, middle ground and background. You can also try overlapping because the human eye can really notice this and it creates more depth.

8. Framing- Theres many natural frames such as trees and other things. Framing brings focus to the main subject of the picture by drawing the eye to it naturally.

9. Cropping (still framing)- Many times you can miss the main subject of the photo because theres too much going in the background, by cropping it tight to the main subject of the photo you can eliminate background "noise"and get the viewers attention to the main subject.

10. Break the rules- Since we have developed much better technology it has become much easier to do what you want with your photos; we need to take advantage of this!

I really like this picture I took because first off I really like flowers and I really like how it focuses on just the flower and blurs everything else out. That way you can really tell what I was aiming to really capture. Also it follows the background rule.

I really enjoy this photo because it was captured while it was happening. I think photography that captures things in the moment is super neat. I think it'd be super difficult to do so as well, one day I'd really like to try to take photos like this.

I like this photo because I think it's creative and unique. I created the scenario by placing the leaves on the fence and I thought it turned out pretty cool when I captured it. This is definitely one of my favorite pictures that I've taken.
